For years my Bio consisted of my achievements and awards, which always made me cringe when reading it, as if that is what defines me. If this is your jam, then lets just say, I have my fair share of awards and accolades a mile long, both nationally and internationally.

My biggest awards are the people that I get to photograph and their stories, their legacies.

As a photographer it is a privilege documenting people’s lives, and my ability to listen and communicate has enabled me to capture even the most intimate of moments.

In order for me to capture the true essence of the people I photograph, I need to be invested with them in that moment and be my authentic self. I cry, I laugh, I am vulnerable.

With over 25 years’ experience photographing weddings, portraits and fashion, a photo to me is more than just a pretty picture. It needs to have soul and depth. After all I am not in the business of photographing mannequins.

My photography and teaching has taken me all over the world to destinations I could only have dreamed of. I am honoured and grateful to be recognised as an Olympus Visionary and Australian Elinchrom Ambassador.

But my biggest achievements are my family and my long life partner, wife and soul mate Sharifa.

I am married and the mother of three adult children, I love cooking and trying new recipes or create them myself, I love throwing themed dinner parties where I plan weeks ahead my table settings, flower arrangement, menu, then meticulously bring it all to life and host fun filled dinner parties.

I love lists, I cannot live without daily ‘to do’ and ‘done’ lists, I am pedantic for detail and time management. I love art i any form but in particular lifestyle photography, I see depth in any situation and love capturing what I saw and felt to keep that moment with me forever.

I love weddings, I love brides and I have learned a lot over the years of consulting with brides and mastered communicating with them and becoming their best asset.

Joe began his photographic career in 2005 photographing portraits in boutique photographic studios in and around Melbourne while completing a multi media bachelor's degree. Upon completion he landed a position as a photographer and studio managing role for a renowned wedding and portrait photography studio based in Collingwood for a number of years.

In 2011 an opportunity arose to photograph and work for Australia’s largest magazine publisher Bauer Media, photographing Fashion and Commercial jobs, a dream job for many photographers.

However what he missed the most, was photographing 'fairytales' and being a part of something special. That is when he decided to join the iconic XSiGHT Photography & Video team in 2012 where he gets to photograph weddings and portraits.

His softly spoken demeanour and wealth of experience over the years, makes him a hit with his couples.

Videographer & Editor

Emma developed a love for filmmaking and photography from a young age. Having watched her older sister make films, Emma was immediately intrigued by the art form, and her passion for story telling grew over the years.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Film and Television and Photography, which equiped her with the skills to work in a variety of areas of the media industry.

At XSiGHT, Emma is our main video editor who brings your special day to life! Capturing and drawing out the emotion, and creating a keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.
